Returning to Nature

June 12, 2015 Rachel Vail
"Whenever I have found myself stuck in the ways I relate to things, I return to nature. It is my principal teacher, and I try to open my whole being to what it has to say."  Wynn Bullock

I took this picture of the gorgeous view of the luscious Catskill Mountains that I worked by all day. Every time I felt uninspired, disconnected, or stuck - I would gaze up into the greens and blues nature offered me.

Nature is the absolute best form of inspiration. Our bodies need to be connected to the Earth. Our souls need to take in the lessons nature has to teach us. We need the elements the way we need oxygen. The wind gives us peace, the water gives us flow, the sky gives us perspective, the trees teach us growth, the rocks teach us strength.

Whenever you feel down or uninspired, go spend some time in nature. Become connected with the Earth. Lose yourself in the elements, and you will find yourself once again.
